May 16, 2021 - Fly to Delaware Coastal for Lunch;
Take My Next Door Neighbors Flying

Quite a few of us were heading out for lunch here at Essex Skypark.  Destination:  Coastal Delaware Airport, also known as Georgetown, also known as Sussex.  We ended up with seven planes and eight people.  Left to right:  Mark (RV-8), Ron (C-150), Brian (RV-8), Chuck (RV-7A), Moi (RV-7)

Rich and Nhu-An in a Super Decathelon.  Charlie joined us in flight in another Decathelon.

Ron's 150 was the slowest so he took off first.  The RV's did a mark-on-top on Ron as we headed to Georgetown.

I joined up on Rich and Nhu-An.

Close up!

Nhu-An took this picture of me.

Coastal Delaware off the bow!

We all parked in the overnight parking area.  At center is the Decathelon Charlie rode in on.

After a delicious lunch at Arena's At The Airport restaurant, most of the guys headed for a beach run, but I had to get back to Essex Skypark.  I made it in 20 minutes -- amazing.

What's the deal with this line of trees sticking out into the field?

Our next door neighbors who I would be giving rides in the RV to.  Left to right:  Jeremiah, Milad, Mary, Gianna.

I took Mary and Gianna first.  Also the first time I have had three people in my plane.  It worked great though.  During the flight we joined up on Chip's 172 and Joe M. took this nice shot of us.

Another shot.

Milad enjoying his flight.  The entire family enjoyed their rides.  Afterwards we all went to Pizza Johns to celebrate.  Great aviation day.
